DESCRIPTION
LaserguardTM SPP310 is a protective film designed for the protection of stainless steel during laser cutting operations. The product is designed to withstand one-pass laser cutting processes, eliminating the need to etch the protective film in one pass and cut the stainless steel in a second pass. LaserguardTM SPP 310 will perform in the laser cutting process by eliminating the traditional problem of blowing/ballooning of the film upon piercing. It also eliminates the typical black residue left on the surface when using conventional protective films. LaserguardTM SPP 310 also offers customers a unique character to its surface printing: it can be ordered with printed arrows that clearly indicate the direction of polish lines in the steel.
PRECAUTIONS
All recommendations are based on years of experience but cannot be seen as a guarantee of performance in the application. Tests should be conducted under the actual application conditions.
STORAGE
The film can be stored for six months, in its original packaging and in dry conditions. The rolls should be protected from extremes of temperature and direct sunlight. Out of its container, the film should be protected against dust and other impurities.
APPLICATION OF FILM
Preferably the protective film should be applied by mechanical means. Best results are obtained at an application temperature between 60°F and 100°F.
